Network Authentication - Network Password Sync
To maintain network security, you may be prompted to enter your computer password for authentication. This occurs automatically when your system hasn't synced in over 7 days, or when IT support needs to synchronize your credentials.
This notification appears when your computer hasn't fully synchronized with the network in over 7 days. When this occurs, our platform generates an authentication prompt that requires your action to complete the sync.
The prompt you receive will look similar to the below image:
- When prompted, simply enter the password you use to log into your computer and click "OK"
- Completing this sync is required to maintain network access
- Your password remains secure - it's encrypted in transit and never stored
- Never share your password with anyone, including IT staff
- Don't save passwords in messaging apps (Teams/Slack) or email (Outlook)
- When IT requires elevated system access, you'll authenticate through a secure credential storage prompt that encrypts your password - the IT technician never sees or has access to your actual password.
